Bile duct cancer spread to peritoneum and Liver

Hi. I have Bile duct cancer which spread to the Peritoneum and my Liver.

I have been having chemo since the beginning of December’23 and did notice before this that I was dithering a bit.

my Thyroid tablets have been reduced (under active thyroid) but this has made no difference.  I will be having another blood test for this next month. However, the dithering is getting a lot worse now and stopping me from doing some things.

I wonder if it the Cancer pressing on a nerve or if it’s something to do with the Chemo. 
I will discuss with Consultant next month but wondered if anyone else has this problem?

  • I'm sorry to hear things have got worse despite your thyroid tablets being reduced Kat. This must be very frustrating, especially if you've noticed it's stopping you from doing certain things.

    I hope your consultant will be able to shed some light on this when you see them next month but if you'd like to discuss this with one of our cancer nurses whilst you wait, you can give them a call on 0808 800 4040. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they'll do all they can to help.

    Thank you so much.

    will discuss with Consultant first and see if she can shed any light in this now.

    It’s an awful feeling and I just feel like lying down all the time as this eases it.
