Ear cancer

Evening all,

I'm new here as I've just found and joined your forum.

For about 6 to 8 weeks, on and off, I  had a sore right ear when attempting to sleep on it. That's my chosen position to rest, but my ear got worse as time passed.

My GP put me on a 2 month course of a clear gel, twice a day(not sure if I can name the drugs here or not) and he asked that if its still reacting in 2 months time to come back and see him again. This I did and now I've got to use a different white cream for a month, once a day. Reading something yesterday about the 2nd cream, it was described as a "topical chemotherapy " which scared and disturbed me a bit! I've used it before for removing skin growths but the word Chemotherapy shone a new light on it.

I was told that both meds would eat away at any bad cell's and leave the good ones alone. I'm concerned that as there's daily scabbing over etc, that I may lose some of my ear.

Anyone offer any advice or information on this please as I'm getting concerned.

Kind Regards

NeilM
