Breast cancer

Hi all

I was diognoised with breast cancer in Dec of last year. Had a lumpectomy then was told they found 3 more cancers in the breast plus cancer found in lymph nodes. I've since had a mastectomy and axerilery lymph node removal. Should have had a appointment on the 4th of April which was then canceled and I have to wait another week to see what if any further treatment is in front of me. Any advice would be welcome. I'm all over the place. Trying hard to keep positive but it's so hard.

  • Hello SandyDee53

I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis and all that you've been through since. It's understandable that you're experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions. We know that for many people this period of waiting for news ahead of any further treatment can be difficult and when the goalposts are/have been moved, it can make that period of waiting harder. Hopefully, the team will be able to give you some reassurance at your next appointment.

In the meantime, I wonder if you might find it helpful to talk with one of our team of nurses. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information, and support they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

Do keep in touch SandyDee53 and let us know how you get on at your next appointment.

    Best wishes,
