Hello tinab63
I'm sorry to hear that you went through treatment for breast cancer during the first Covid lockdown. I know that for many people the added uncertainty and anxieties at the time have made their cancer journey more difficult to navigate and it's understandable that you may not have processed all that you've been through.
You've titled your post "Unsure about my status". Is that in regards to the cancer? If you have questions about your diagnosis, what you went through, or what the plans are regarding monitoring then don't be afraid to get in touch with the breast care nurse team at the hospital you attended. They will be a good point of contact to help you get some answers, clarification, and hopefully some reassurance to help you move forward.
Many people find that after a cancer diagnosis, it can take some time to process the news and what they have been through. Often it can help to talk to someone about how you're feeling. If you have a Maggie's local to your area then they are a good place to access counseling support. Alternatively, you can talk with your GP or breast care nurse about support options that are available in your local area.
If you'd like to talk things through with one of our nurses you're most welcome to call them. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice and support they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.
I hope that you're able to find the answers and support you need to give you some reassurance to continue moving forward Tina.
Sending you my very best wishes,
Jenn
