New to this site

Hi all, was diagnosed with malignant melanoma first back in 2002 on my right leg, found it had spread to my lymph node, , so two big ops and all seemed fine.

It came back in 2008, then again in 2012.

I have had overall 7 ops and been told I have the gene that means cancer has a better chance of coming back.

Anyway in remission now since 2013.

I have recently had an op on my ankle, not cancer related for a change, but now my right leg which had the cancer, is being so painful I can barely walk sometimes, and I'm starting to worry.

Just needed to share with others.

  • Hi Cat-Woods,

A very warm welcome to our forum.

It sounds as if you have been in the wars, with all of your leg operations. I am sorry to hear about the pain in your right leg, since the operation to your ankle. It would be a good idea to see your GP about this, if only for your own peace of mind.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
