Purdy - treatment for breast cancer

Hi new on here. Had breast cancer christmas just gone . Had surgery and finished radiotherapy last week. Now having a bone dexa test has they want to go take a blocker tablet to help prevent it caming back but im a bit unsure what to do as what i read not happy. Got a feeling im not going to accept it as under hospital for 5 years if anything happens they will see it meaning if it cames back.

    I can see you have a few concerns about whether to go ahead with the preventative part of the treatment that has been offered to you.

    I know this must be a difficult decision to make, so if you'd like to talk things through with one of our cancer nurses, you can do so on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very insightful, and supportive and will do all they can to help.

    We have a lot of breast cancer members on the forum so hopefully those who have taken the blocker tablet will be along soon to share their experiences and advice.
