I can understand why you would want to go straight for surgery but it might be worth discussing with the specialist whether they think having a biopsy would be useful and if you could go straight for the surgery. I am not sure whether they could refuse surgery and how they think it would be best to proceed but this is definitely something you could raise with them to see what the best course of action would be. Feel free to give our cancer nurses a call too on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and I am sure they will be happy to advise you or give you some helpful suggestions. 

I am so sorry for your loss - this is indeed a lot to have to deal with, losing your sister 2 years ago to cancer and your brother fighting stage 4 pancreatic cancer while you are also going through all this. I just wanted you to know that you are not alone and you will hopefully hear from other members of our community who have been affected by cancer in a similar way. I hope you won't mind but I have edited your title slightly to include more details about your diagnosis.
