A little bit about my journey:
Felt a lump early Nov 23, Dr’s fast-tracked biopsy within 2 weeks, results/consultation within another 2 weeks (I rang within a week and they gave me results over phone) DCIs - ok this is not as bad. Lumpectomy day surgery mid December, recovered really well. Results within 2 weeks (I rang again early and they gave me results over phone) within the DCIs they found 2 IDC lumps (4mm and 5mm) grade 2 so mid aggressive. Lymph node day surgery early Jan 24 to see if it had spread (negative - phew) recovery a little harder, still numb in armpit (I can’t feel the spray off my deodorant )
9 sessions of radiotherapy (currently having those 10.03.24) Hormone therapy (Tamoxifen) for the next 5 years.
The waiting is the hardest, my cancer team are fantastic, calling early for results helped me deal with the news.
My advice is try not to loose yourself in Google
Anyone have similar results?
Take care all xxx
