The language used by the receptionist may sound concerning, but it's important to remember that this could simply be a precautionary measure or a routine check-up to ensure everything is progressing as expected. If you're feeling anxious, consider reaching out to your consultant's office to clarify the purpose of the appointment.

Hi Renata, thank you for your support. At my appointment today I was told that at my LLETZ procedure a 1mm 1a1 cancer was found, but had been taken away with good margins. I am now waiting for an MRI scan and then an MDT to discuss me and my options, one of which is a hysterectomy. Honestly, not something I had ever been considering. It was fair to say I was upset, although they have taken it away, but my consultant and the Macmillan nurse were amazing. I've had my children and I am feeling the early stages of menopause, so I am seriously considering the surgical option to take away any doubts that it could come back, I'm looking forward to being with my children and grandchildren for a long time yet.
