  • Hello Mrct1974

Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing your story.

It's always great to hear positive outcomes as we know just how overwhelming and difficult it can be when someone receives their initial diagnosis. Hopefully, your story will offer hope and positivity to others in the future.

  • Hi Mrct1974

Our son [21]was diagnosed with ALL ,T cell in August 2021.

We have worked through the treatment to date and now have 11 months of maintenance to face.

Our son is struggling with length of the treatment and is deciding to cease.

He is basing his decision on his own research and concludes the continuation is unnecessary as he believes the current protocol is out of date with other countries his research suggests the extra time on boys makes no difference to the outcome

We have asked him to agree to hold off on this decision while we do our own research

Any help/advice as to where we can build up our knowledge is appreciated,

The protocol we are working on is ALL protocol UKALL 2011
