Prostate cancer

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer around 9 months ago, I am currently waiting to see a consultant to have an open procedure as keyhole is not an option.

i have really positive about the cancer and my chances but over the last 6 to 8 weeks I have had chronic fatigue to the extent I am falling asleep every couple of hours.  I’m on the waiting list for the sleep clinic. Has anyone else had this issues before treatment, should I be worried.

  • Welcome to the forum Bigmancan although I'm sorry to hear about your fatigue and for the worry this is understandably causing.

Hopefully some of our members who have contended with this on their cancer journeys will be along soon to offer their support and advice but if you'd like to discuss this further with one of our cancer nurses, you can give them a call on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

I hope some of the tips and general advice we have for managing fatigue will help as well but do be sure to let your medical team know about this as they will be in the best position to advise.

    Kind regards,
