  • Hello MorCC,

I am so sorry to hear that your experience with adjuvant treatment for bowel cancer hasn't been the best and that you feel you were not fully informed of possible side effects. Our website has information on capecitabine and its possible side effects and if there is anything you are particularly concerned about, do talk to your medical team about how you have been feeling since starting treatment. They may have some good suggestions for you to help you deal with these unpleasant side effects and they will be in the best position to tell you more about other possible treatment options that may be available to you. It's important though that you do not make such a major decision on your own and that you discuss all your options with your medical team.

I hope that you will hear from other members of our forum who have had this treatment before and that they will be along shortly to share their treatment experiences with you. Our nurses are also available on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

    Best wishes,
