I am sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer, but I am glad to hear that you have caught it early. A lot of people have this type of cancer, but it is very treatable. Have you had any surgery or treatment yet? I have had 2 bouts of hormonal cancer and took hormone therapy for 7 and a half years. That was all 14 years ago and I still lead a busy and fulfilling life.

I am not a doctor, but I understand that breast cancer and ovarian cancer can be connected because of our hormones, or of our genes. Have you been tested for the BRCA genes? These are genetic mutations that some people have. If you have these, the risk of developing ovarian cancer is greater. Some people take hormone therapy to combat this, while others have their ovaries removed, to stop them from producing oestrogen.  

If you are worried about this, the best person to advise you, is your consultant. They should also be able to tell you if the pre-cancerous calcification in your other breast is related in any way too.

Hormonal breast cancer means that it is hormon receptor positive (er+/pr+) I'm not sure in terms of ovarian cancer as I have only experienced breast cancer. I hope it helps.

Hello Lottie , I also had hormonal breast cancer,had mastectomies followed by chemotherapy , I think it depends on age as well regarding the BRCA gene testing,but check it out anyway 

I am now on Letrezole for 10 years which is a hormone blocker. My surgery was in September 22 and I am well .
