Terrified - scan showed abnormal thickness of womb lining

I had a scan on Saturday and was contacted yesterday by the GP to say it showed significant abnormal thickness of womb lining.

I have to go for biopsy to check for cancer cells. I am now terrified and have to wait for appt.

How do you cope with the worry? I am full of anxiety shaking and feeling sick. I can only see the worse case scenario.

    Sorry you are going through this. I am in a similar position. Had ultrasound last week and they found a lesion on my cervix which they didn't like the look of so am now on the 2 week urgent referral. I am terrified and spent most of the weekend in tears. I hope that it all turns out ok for you.

    Thanks so much for your reply. It's terrifying isn't it. I'd previously had had a scan in April last year and was told no further investigation needed. It's all happened so quick which scares me even more and my mind takes me down some dark places . I hope everything works out for you and it's sorted very soon x
