Me

Hi . I was diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma in October 23. I had biopsy’s from my nose and leg . My results came back as basal cell cardamoms for the nose and malignant melanoma in my leg . I had a operation to remove it all . Also I had my lymph nodes taken from my groin . Just got results back and it hasn’t got as far as the lymph nodes . I have been left unable to walk properly as the me anoma was right near my knee . But for now I am just thankful to be hear . I have a husband 2 children and a granddaughter who I love ️ and they need me to be strong .

  • Hi Chatty,

I'm sorry you've been dealing with all this but the good thing is that your node biopsy was clear. I'm assuming, due to the clear node biopsy, that your TNM Stage is T3 (melanoma between 2 & 4mm thick) rather than Breslow Stage 3 which is where melanoma has spread to the nodes. If I'm correct, your Breslow Stage is either 2a or 2b. If you've been offered adjuvant drug treatment you will be 2b.

Your surgical site will start to heal & your mobility return, it's just a waiting game I'm afraid. It's also good that you have a great family to support you. I will send you a friend request so that, if you want to chat, we can do so by private message. Take care & I hope you heal quickly,

Angie (Stage 3 melanoma patient since 2009)
