I am so sorry to hear about your partner and the situation that this has placed you in. A cancer diagnosis can place a strain on any relationship, but it must have been especially hard to face this so early on in your relationship. I had 2 bouts of breast cancer, 14 years ago and I well remember how that affected my poor hubby of 40 years. I hope that someone who has had similar experience will come along to chat with you soon.

In the meanwhile, have you thought of speaking to a counsellor about how you feel? My hubby attended Maggies and spoke to a counsellor there and he found this very helpful. Maggies centres are dotted all around the country, but there are other charities, which offer similar services, if you don't have one of these close by. Many of these have different names, but you can find them through your GP practice, library or Citizens Advice Bureau. Maggies offers help and support to those with cancer and their families and offer a number of different services. You are also welcome to pop in for a cuppa and a chat, any time you feel like it and all of their services are free of charge.
