  • Hi DAWNcookie.

I noticed you haven't had a reply yet so I just wanted to offer you a very warm welcome to Cancer Chat and let you know your post has been seen.

I'm sorry to hear you have a terminal diagnosis but I'm glad you're approaching this with a positive mentality and making the most of every day.

It must be quite stressful not being able to sleep at night though. Hopefully some of our members who have encountered this will share their tips and advice with you soon but I hope this information I've found will prove useful as well.

If you ever want to discuss anything with one of our cancer nurses, you can do so on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're really easy to talk to and will do all they can to support you at this time.

We're here for you DAWNcookie and hope you're able to sleep more soundly soon.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator

  • Hi dawncookie, im sorry to hear your diagnosis and trust you are getting the support you deserve. It took over 5mths of indecision by my cindultants to stsrt treatment for my rare cancer, just pallative care as it had spread.

I too have struggled to sleep and have spent many hours at night watching tv. I have also started docunenting my journey, making notes of how i am feeling, the highs and lows. This has helped me get things off my chest and clear my mind, often falling asleep on the sofa.

I hope this might help you.
