As you've had numerous falls and you're struggling with this swelling in the whole of your leg, I think it would be a good idea to ring your GP if you haven't done it already and to mention that you've had falls and are finding it difficult to lift off the floor. I am sure your doctor will have some good suggestions for you so don't hesitate to get in touch and ask for advice on this.
