Hello T00thfairy
I'm sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis. It's understandably a difficult time for you both.
I can see that you've been chatting with other forum members on a different thread but I wanted to give you the link to this thread which has been very active with different stories about oesophageal cancer over the last few years. You may find it helpful to read through some of the replies and perhaps post to introduce yourself to some of the other members. Hopefully, you will be able to connect and find some support.
If you'd like to talk things through with one of our nurses at any point you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. I know they will be happy to offer any advice, information and support they can.
Best wishes,
Jenn

Thanku so much . I will do that as I'll be grateful for any help , advice etc , I don't even know what the letters FLOT mean. I've been talking a little to people thru the night when he is up and wants to think I am getting sleep.
Many many thanks for reaching out and when my tears stop ill give that number a call
Hello Toothfairy
It's ok to let those tears flow. They are a part of the process and will help you to be able to move forward. I'm glad that you've been able to chat a little with people. Having that support is also invaluable.
You mentioned not knowing what FLOT stands for so I wanted to give you a couple of links to some information that you can access if you have any questions.
FLOT is a combination of chemotherapy drugs. You can read more about it here and if there are any other medications you want to know more about you can check this page on our website.
We also have information on our website about oesophageal cancer which you may find helpful. If you don't feel able to talk with our nurses at the moment, you can post in the Ask the Nurses topic area and they will come back to you as soon as they can.
Keep in touch T00thfairy and we will do our best to lend a listening ear and offer any support that we can.
Best wishes,

Hi Jenn
Can I just ask is diorea a common side effect of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, either or ,awful subject I know but it's pretty awful at the present time x
Thankyou Jenn
Hello Toothfairy
Diarrhoea is a potential side effect of chemotherapy - you can see more on our webpage here. It is also listed as a possible side effect of immunotherapy.
Do give your husband's nurse or care team a call if you're worried as I'm sure they will be able to offer some advice and support to help improve things for you both.
I hope things settle soon.
Best wishes,
