Moving forward - getting insurance

Good afternoon. My name is Mark. Diagnosed and treated for testicular cancer in 2009 and cleared/discharged in 2015. I am aware of the need to look out for reoccurring signs / symptoms and pains that could mean my cancer is back.  Having lost a younger sister recently to skin cancer and work colleagues at the NHS trust I work at suddenly passing, I feel the time is now to get everything in order, be more prepared. I need to sort out life insurance so I know my family are provided for if Cancer ever comes back. I have no idea where to start because I know the premiums will go up and we are penalised. I would appreciate and help and advice, companies to try for a quote, what's involved etc. I do not have a mortgage thankfully, my children have grown up. I'm 52 and there is only myself and wife living at home.

Kind regards  Mark

  • Hello Mark,

It's good to consider your options after your successful treatment and do keep your doctor updated if symptoms ever occur. For helpful advice, you can read more about life insurance here. There's more general advice on coping practically here, which you can also refer to at anytime. I hope this will go towards anwswering some of your questions and let us know how you get on.

    All the best,
