Smear test

Hi I am new to this site but I do suffer from health anxiety as well as mental health . I've had alot going on with my body recently so it's hard to explain but today I went for my smear test that I have been told is important I need it done.  

To be in there and 2 nurses couldn't find my cervix after fists under bum, squats and they still couldn't do my smear test  has resulted to going back at a later date meaning just longer waiting and my anxiety is so high. 

The nurses told me that the reason they couldn't get to it because I have loads of discharge that is making it stick to the back wall off the vagina . This concerns me . All my previous smears they have had problems getting to the cervix , my question is what can I do to prepare for my next smear ? So ut will run smoothly and what can help I'm worried the amount off discharge I have up there they won't ever be able to do my smear test . 

And this is needed as my internal scan come back and they want to test for hpv virus I'm worried this is been in me for years and each year I feel more ill and periods are a nightmare and getting heavier . I am worried that I may have cervical cancer and because its taking so long in getting answers I'm scared it will get worse . 

Any advise would be appreciated.  I am Very anxious and scared

    Hello sorry your going through this and I totally understand regarding the anxiety as I suffer with this to.

    in regards of them having difficulties finding your cervix you could possibly try and track and find out when your ovulating as your cervix will naturally become lower at this time so it might be easier to find?just a thought.

    please try not to worry. My last smear has come back HPV positive and I’m undergoing colposcopy and biopsy treatments now for this .it’s all very worrying but with a good support network to attend appointments with you and to help you will be just fine.

    I also get sedation for biopsy’s due to having high anxiety an don health anxiety so don’t hesitate to ask for this IF this comes your way but please don’t worry to much as most cases with hpv positive it don’t need any further treatment and clears on its own :)

    Hi thankyoy so much for your kind words and replying to me . I'm so sorry to hear that you are suffering too .OK I will check that I'm hoping it will be around the time off my smear . 

    I'm sorry to hear that it came back positive and I'm glad u have a good support network . Can I ask did they say you are at a high risk now off cancer ? As when I asked the nurse can you die from this she said yes yiu can if it progresses to cancer so I'm worried even more now .

    My doctors told me that I’m no we’re near it being cancer yet as it can take years for the cells to turn into cancer! so aslong as it’s been caught in time then you should be absolutely fine hun as there is so many treatments to remove the cells before they turn to cancer.

    It’s all very scary and your going to naturally worry

    That's a relief then, and reassuring too that there are things to help get rid . It just seems so long I cannot wait till the 24th surely I should have a right to be seen sooner . that's what I'm worried about as I've suffered with this for years so I'm paranoid that in the last 6 years I have had it as these problems started when I had my last baby and she is 6 now . 

    Defo scary and thankyou again for sharing your experience , and  it's nice to speak to aomeone who is going though what I'm going though .
