Hi
I am new to this group and would like some advice.
Last April my left nipple suddenly inverted. I went to my GP who referred me to the breast screening clinic. They did a mammogram and an ultrasound of the nipple area giving me the all clear. However they did say that I have strange lumpy breasts!
Over the past month or so the left nipple has also become very itchy and I now have a small eczema type patch just beneath the nipple which is still inverted. The itching is just on the left breast, comes and goes and can be really intense/ uncomfortable. I can also feel a tiny hard lump deep in the breast a bit below the nipple area.
I am really worried that something was missed in April. But also feel like I could be wasting the Gps time as I was sent for screening last year.
I was on the depo provera jab for about 20 years which I stopped on late 2022.
I'm 47 years if age.
Should I go back to the GP or assume that it's probably all ok given that last year's screening didn't show anything? I never go to the doctor's generally if I can possibly help it.
Thank you in advance.
