Chances are if you have a positive fit test you will be referred to the hospital to have a Colonoscopy to rule out anything nasty ,this is a normal procedure and doesn't mean you have cancer ,its more likely to be something far less serious ,I had one last year and its nothing to worry about at all ,most people have sedation but its a personal choice you usually find out if they find anything before you leave the Hospital .
Had a couple of these over the years, nothing to worry about as far as the proceedure is concerned if you've not had one before. You'll be offered sedation which only makes you relaxed, doesn't put you to sleep. Having sedation means you can't drive yourself home so you'll need someone to pick you up. I would recommend you have the sedation and you'll be fine.
Read the instructions that’s the worst part ,you will see up all night on the loo so be prepared for an exhausting night so that your clear for the camera.good luck I’ve had four done.
