Multiloculated ovarian mass

Hello,

I'm new to this forum, and I hope this message finds you well.

I'm a 33-year-old individual dealing with a multiloculated mass in my right ovary measuring 16 cm. After undergoing the CA 125 blood test twice, the results showed elevated levels of 110 and 90. Additionally, my CA 199 blood test indicated a level of 90. I am scheduled for surgery in January 2024, a laparotomy (to remove the mass and the ovary) with a frozen section.

I am anxious as my doctor is concerned concern. The CT scan and MRI results couldn't confirm whether the mass is cancerous. Has anyone else faced a similar situation?

I understand that individual diagnoses can vary, but I would appreciate any shared experiences.

Thank you xx

  • Hello Mouniak90,

It's completely understandable that you are feeling anxious especially as your doctor is concerned but it's good that they are being thorough so you are now in expert hands to deal with this. I hope that the surgery and laparotomy will be a success in January. It sounds like there are still a lot of unanswered questions and I am sorry that the CT scan and MRI results couldn't confirm whether the mass is cancerous or not - I hope that you find out more about this very soon.

Other members of our community may have had a similar diagnosis in the past and had the same procedure and I hope that they will be along shortly to share their experiences with you.

Waiting for a diagnosis or to find out whether a mass is cancerous or not can be so stressful and there are helpful tips on this page to help you cope while waiting for important news. If you can, keep well away from the temptation to look anything up on Google as this will only make you worry more and will never provide satisfactory answers.

Everything crossed for you that it all turns out to be nothing concerning.

    Best wishes,
