Lump on jawline

Hi all just asking for advice really, I've had a lump on my jawline for a few weeks now just under my earlobe, it's not painfull but it is noticeable and I'm getting a little worried. I also have been having an itchy face and feel a little more tired than normal. I haven't changed my diet or anything out of the ordinary. Do you think it's something I should get checked out by the doctor? It is a hard lump

    The best thing to do is to go and see your doctor about these problems. When you’re worried that you may have cancer, it can be tempting to look for answers online, but this can end up increasing anxiety rather than making you feel better. And the only person that can diagnose you is your doctor.

    Thank you I went to the doctors today. He has put me on antibiotics but has also referred me to a ENT I it's not serious would they have done that? Thanks

    I have a swollen parotid no pain but suffering headaches neck pain and this morning my cheek felt cold but warm to touch. Has anyone suffered anything like this I am thinking of it a lot but trying not to panic,had cancer before which resulted in me having a hysterectomy a few years back 

    Anything will help thank you

    It's great to hear you've managed to see your doctor Shells3boys, and that you've been given some antibiotics. Hopefully they will work but if they don't, it's reassuring to hear you've been referred to ENT. I know this must be scary but it sounds like your doctor is being very thorough by doing this.

    Hopefully some of our members will share their thoughts and experiences with you soon but in the meantime, try to stay calm and keep yourself distracted until your referral. We'll have our fingers crossed the lump is no cause for concern.

    Yes very reassuring and also found out today that its not an urgent referral so it may not be anything to be worried about. Thank you for all the reply really appreciate them.

    Hello  I too had a lump pop up on my jawline a few weeks ago.  I was also given antibiotics for 7 days but it made no difference.  After MRI, CT and biopsy I have been diagnosed with Acinic cell carcinoma.  Sounds like yours is just a swollen gland thank god but please if its an actual lump make sure you get referred for a CT scan.
