I has a cystoscopy today which showed a large red patch. The dr said it's not normal & shouldn't be there. Told me I will be brought back in for surgery within 2 weeks for it taking away. I'm so scared it's cancer.

Hello SammiW,
I can imagine you must be rather anxious after being told this large red patch is not normal and shouldn't be there. It's good things are moving fast though and that you will have the surgery in the next couple of weeks. I know it's really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate the worst as this red patch could well be a number of other things than cancer. Try if you can to resist the urge to look things up on Google or it will make you feel even more worried and yield the least likely possibilities - while you are waiting for your surgery it's a good idea to try and distract yourself if you can doing things you enjoy which isn't easy as many members of our community will know only too well. There are helpful tips on this page to help you cope while waiting for important news.
I will now let our community members who have had similar issues before come and say hello and share their story with you. Keeping everything crossed for you that it all turns out to be nothing of concern.
Best wishes,
