Terrified

I had one instance of postmenopausal bleeding (im 53). Had an ultrasound, camera, cervical check etc. They found a small ovarian cyst and said it was nothing to be concerned about but they would take blood to check for CA125 and make an appointment in 6 months time. I've now just received a letter telling me that some of my blood results were 'out of the normal range' and that they've made another appointment for me in 2 weeks, with 'in the first instance" a gynaecology doctor. I'm petrified. What does any of that mean?  What does 'in the first instance'?
