Swollen neck nodes

Hi, everyone just wondering if anybody has similar experiences?

this has been a problem for around 7 months I first noticed a pepper corn sized lump in lower neck in the middle I had a private ct scan on the lump and it was confirmed to be calcified and no action needed.,

however 3 months later I discovered two more one just under pea size and the others above pepper corn size following a week of strep throat (apparently) 3 months later these lumps are still there and it’s stressing  me out very badly has anyone else has this problem with lymph nodes not going away the gp isn’t really that interested both lumps are semi firm but movable I’m going out of my mind with stress and it’s even affecting my work life no other symptoms

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling so anxious at the moment. We know that many people are worried when they discover a lump it's good to hear that you've already seen your GP and that the CT scan you had didn't raise any concerns.

We know that sometimes a lymph node can remain raised after an infection with no sinister cause for that.

It certainly sounds from your post as if you are still worried about these lumps and so talking with your GP about your stress levels and ways in which you can manage your anxiety might be a good idea. There's also some helpful information on the NHS website about health anxiety.

I do hope that you're able to find some reassurance soon and that things improve for you.

    Best wishes,
