I recently had a positive FIT  along with inflammation in another test.

I received an appointment for a colonoscopy and was dreading it.

In the end it was fine,

I received sedation for the colonscopy and remember very little about it,

I'd say the worst thing was drinking the horrible moviprep before hand .

I was diagnosed with diverticulitis and haemorrhoids and would happily have another colonscopy if necessary.

I think it is only a small percentage of people diagnosed with cancer via these tests so please don't worry and stay away from Dr Google 

Hello Mary, thank you so much for taking the time to reply to me..I'm really pleased your results were good..I so hope I get similar..I think I will definitely have the sedation as would prefer not to remember too much about it...my GP has rung this afternoon and says to not get too worried and whilst they can't give me any reassurances they said same..wish I could get it over and done with as soon as possible to hopefully stop the worrying but guess everyone goes through same worries..Best wishes Helen
