Hi my name is Sam, I'm 38 years old female, and a couple of weeks ago I went to a&e due to bleeding from behind for nearly 5 weeks (not heavy just on tissue every time even when I didn't empty my bowels) also very tired and exhausted and abdominal pains, they took loads of blood and discharged me and wrote to my GP to book me in for a flexible sigmoidscopy, but GP phoned me Tuesday 5th September said to do stool samples first which one was a FIT test, which I done and handed in on Tuesday. Today I received a phone call from GP saying one of the samples have come back positive for blood in stools and she has to urgently refer me to have a Colonoscopy and I should hear from them within 2 weeks. I am really worrying about it and didn't know if anyone else has had the same or is in the same situation.
