Thought I would add some positive news .I was diagnosed with non invasive bladder cancer and prostate cancer in 2016 .My bladder cancer was intermediate but considered high grade G2 ,I had an operation to remove the tumor which was 5cms in size .I had a second Turbt 8 weeks after the first to ensure muscle was clear and treated with mytomycin for six weeks .Since then following the full follow up proticol I have been completely clear and for the last two years have been on yearly follow ups ,just had my most recent one still all clear .I had my prostate removed in 2020 and salvage RT followed all scans show nothing of concern my PSA is undetectable and has been now for three years .I am in remission which is excellent news and am very grateful to the NHS for the treatment I have had.It is always stressful to have the yearly cystoscopy but it is now up to me if i wish to continue to have them which of course I will as the peace of mind it gives me is fantastic .So good news the treatment worked for me and hopefully for many others too.My consultant says most recurrances are within the first three years and that the longer I remain clear the more likely it is that I will not get another one but to remain vigilant which of course I will .
