Stomach cancer

Hey guys I’m 19 turning 20 soon and for the past couple months I’ve been really unwell with my stomach, I’ve been throwing up constantly and can hardly eat, I’ve lost so much weight and dropped about 2-3 sizes in my pants. In recent months I’ve become anaemic which I’ve never been before. I was sent for an endoscopy as they suspected a lot of things stomach cancer being one of them. When there they saw something and took about 8-9 biopsies which is worrying as I’m worried now maybe it’s something more serious.
min waiting for my results to come back but just worrying and feeling anxious about these results and when they will be back. In the past couple weeks I’ve noticed in finding it hard to swallow my own saliva but not food, I’ve got extreme back pain which comes and go and now I’ve found tender areas of my stomach they hurt to touch, my stomach did hurt before but not as bad as this and didn’t hurt to touch.
Anyone have any advise or anything to help me relax ah

  • Welcome to the forum Conlan, although I'm sorry to hear how unwell you've been lately.

It sounds like things have been very tough but hopefully it won't be long until your test results come through and shed some light on your situation.

All of our members know how difficult this time can be so you are not alone, and I'm sure some of them will stop by soon to offer their support and advice.

I hope the tips given in this article and on the NHS Every Mind Matters website will help you through this anxious time as well but in the meantime, we're thinking of you Conlan and will have our fingers crossed for good news.

    Kind regards,

  • Thank you I appreciate the support I’m in two minds at the moment as going on holiday in a week and don’t want to be told while I’m on holiday as I’m worried it might ruin the holiday, so was hoping to get results before I go but it’s not looking likely, they mentioned my z line is irregular which could indicate Barrets oesophagus which is also pre cancerous so not only do I have the stomach problem but now this would would explain my problems swallowing, fingers crossed
