  • Hi Mammy,

I am so sorry to hear that you've found another lump on the same side as your lumpectomy..

I had a lumpectomy of my right breast 14 years ago. Six months later, I found a larger lump in my other breast. Another 6 months on and I found another lump in my original breast. On all three occasions, my consultant thought that the lumps were cancerous. Fortunately, after biopsy, one came back clear, but he was right in the other two cases.

I then had a double mastectomy and I haven't looked back since.

Have you got an appointment for your CT scan yet? I sincerely hope that this turns out to be scar tissue or something similar.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Hi lara thanks for your reply, they said after surgery they got it all and lymph nodes were clear just a little worried as to this new lump it's sore now but that's new as it wasn't before doc found it hopefully it's scar tissue

  • Hi Mammy,
