Lacrimal Sac Tumours

A relative has a lacrimal sac tumour, he has had surgery, radiotherapy, and chemo (I believe) he's not very forthcoming and I am finding that quite difficult.

The only thing that he talks about is immunotherapy I.V. every three weeks or so, and how tired it makes him feel. He has lost his sense of smell and taste.

Now, not eating well as he doesn't see any point...

  • Hello Mabel2468

I'm sorry to hear that your relative is undergoing treatment for cancer of the lacrimal gland. For many people undergoing cancer treatment can be gruelling and we often see posts here on the forum where people talk about similar problems.

I hope that your relative has lots of support around him from family and friends. Do encourage him to talk with his treatment team about the problems that he's experiencing so that they can best support him.

If you think it may help you, or him, to talk with someone about the situation then you're welcome to call our team of nurses on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. I'm sure they will be happy to offer any advice, information and support they can.

    I hope things improve soon.

    Best wishes,
