Glioblastoma grade iv

My husband was diagnosed with glioblastoma Grade 4, in May 2023, I finally found my way to cope with my husband diagnosis but times it's challenging for me alone, doesn't have macmillian he doesn't want it, he just wants me to care for him? I love him so much and we only been together for 6 yrs and married 4th Yr, my husband mobility is affected by the whole time, but 15 treatments of radiotherapy but to day to day its the same question are we going there today? I say no, that's when the confusion starts you said we going? Seeing the consultant on 2nd August, our life's have running rollercoaster ride no end to finish

  • Welcome to the Cancer Chat community Trigger52 although I'm really sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis.

Being a carer can be very rewarding but as you've mentioned in your post, very challenging too, but I'm glad you've reached out to us as we have many members here who are carers too so you are not alone and hopefully it won't be long until some of them stop by to offer their support and advice.

If you'd like to discuss anything about your husband's situation with one of our cancer nurses, you can contact them on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very insightful and will do all they can to answer your questions.

For further information, support and advice, it may be worth getting in touch with The Brain Tumour Charity.

We're thinking of you Trigger and wishing you all the best for next week.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
