Bladder cancer

Hi everyone and Thankyou for accepting me onto this forum.

Because of previous melanoma, I am on a check up programme.  December last year scans detected tumours in my bladder, which were Grade 4.  Despite 3 surgeries (TURBT) over 8 months they keep returning.

Now, I have an appt next week with my Urologist team to discuss removal of my bladder.
I would love to hear from anyone who has had this done and how they cope.

Love & hugs to everyone who is facing the big C.

  • Hello Brenda and welcome to the Cancer Chat community.

I'm sorry to hear the tumours kept returning and now a bladder removal is being discussed.

I hope some of our members who have had this done come forward soon to share their experiences and advice but if you'd like to talk any of this through with one of our cancer nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very easy to talk to and will do all they can to answer your questions and put your mind at ease.

I hope this information about having a bladder removal will prove useful as well.

We're thinking of you Brenda and wishing you all the best with your appointment.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
