Lymph nodes in neck

Hey, about a year and a half ago I noticed a swollen lymph node in my neck. I just assumed i was poorly. However it never went away and I gained another one. I went to the doctors a month ago they referred me to the lymphoma specialists, who then found another lymph node in my neck so I have a biopsy today. Can’t really read my blood results very well they’re so confusing. Just a bit worried, I hate the waiting game!

  • Hello J01018

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently been to see a specialist regarding a possible lymphoma diagnosis and that you're now waiting for the results of a biopsy. It's understandable that you're feeling worried about what the results may show. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for some answers from the specialist.

We know that for many people this period of waiting for news can be a difficult time. The unknown can be a scary prospect to face and it's natural to experience lots of different emotions. Sometimes it can help to talk things through with someone and I wonder if you might find it useful to chat things through with one of our nurses. I'm sure they will be happy to offer any advice, information and support they can. If you'd like to talk with them they're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

Do keep in touch J01018 and let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,

  • I had an ultrasound and the doctors decided to not go ahead with the biopsy as he believed they didn’t look suspicious and told me to go back if they get bigger or any new ones. It’s really hard to tell if they’ve grown. But I know they haven’t grown massively if they have. However I’m unsure if I feel a new one as it’s quite small but can’t tell. So am unsure on what to do!
