Anyone else have a 2nd positive for CIN3?

I recently had a LLETZ procedure done in February of this year due to being positive for HPV - CIN3. Due to the advanced stage and awkward shape I had to have it under general. During the surgery they had to remove more than planned and I ended up haemorrhaging.

Anyways fast forward 6 months check up I still have CIN3 potentially stage 1a1 cervical cancer.

When I completed the LLETZ they said this would get rid of the CIN and if it comes back it would be a lower grade which could be treated again.

I am currently 25 (26 in October) no children and currently being told I might have to have a hysterectomy due to the CIN3 still being present after a LLETZ.

Anyone else have a 2nd positive for CIN3

  • Hello Dayna-Leigh,

I am so sorry to hear you still have CIN3 and potentially stage1a1 cervical cancer. Hopefully it has been caught early and they will be able to deal with this promptly. Do tell them though if they offer a hysterectomy whether you would like to have children in the future and they will be able to tell you more about what your options might be.

I hope that you will hear from other members of our community who have had a 2nd positive for CIN3 and that they will be along shortly to share their story with you. I hope you won't mind but I've changed the title of your thread in order to attract more relevant replies and so that it is spotted by others who have been in a similar position before.

I hope you find out more soon about what your treatment plan might be - everything crossed for you that it will all work well this time!

    Best wishes,
