My 3 year old is getting Petechia and neck pain and I’m worried

Hi all, just looking for some information or advice as I’m not sure if my worry is OTT or if the cause is of concern. Basically for the last 3 months my little boy is getting patches of petechia on his neck/arms/back doctors brushed it off saying it could be caused by a cough (the cough was only there for a couple of week and is gone) but he is now getting it in his mouth and is complaining of pain in his neck when he cries. Took him back to the gp recently where she said the neck pain is probably just psychological.. but that’s not sitting right with me. Has anyone had anything similar where it’s turned out to be nothing or should I get a second opinion?

I'm sorry to hear that you have some ongoing concerns about your little boy's health. It's understandable that you may be feeling unsure about what is the best way forwards when things haven't resolved.

You know your little boy best and what is normal for him or not so if you're still feeling worried then do seek a second opinion from another GP at the surgery. Hopefully they will be able to give you some reassurance.

I hope things settle and improve for you both soon.

    Best wishes,
