The waiting game !!

HI My first post X  Its so frustrating all the waiting Months on (original symptoms 18 months ago) So many departments involved and me in the middle No one talks to each other waiting weeks/months between CT scans, Contrast scans, ultra sounds + Cancelled apts. constantly chasing people to let me know whats going on all while symptoms continue or gradually getting worse. Some playing symptoms down to the point you feel like a hypochondriac. Others Inflate so you really do believe its Cancer and the lesions on lungs are secondaries (that was last GP meet) But I am now under the MDT team and going to meet up with a Nurse tomorrow to talk through everything. While we wait for the biopsy on my neck Lesion. What a Rollercoaster X

  • Its a long story that started the process but my current and persistent symptoms are cough, tightness in neck, voice changes and chest ache/pain. CT scan found Nodules on my lungs and a soft tissue Mass behind my Thyroid. Second CT with Contrast (after 6 weeks ) showed more 3 new ones nodules appearing now in both lungs. ENT said mass in neck was incidental nodule and my symptoms were still more to do with my Acid. but booked an Ultra sound anyway. Radiography was more concerned and after his report (I havnt seen this) I was called back for biopsy. The contrast results were also on system by then too but I hadnt seen those either. I was told by ENT Dr that I needed to speak to my own GP. I did get apt but saw a Locum. ENT DR said Nothing to worry about but GP said the contrast scan was more concerning and that I was been referred to MDT on Fast Track that the is suspicion is that the growing lung nodules could be secondaries ?? I do now have a copy of the Contrast scan but as im no expert I dont fully understand it. The Mass in throat is referred to as an Heterogeneously enhancing lesion with central necrosis ??  I am still waiting for the results of the neck mass.  I am confused by the way different specialists are interpreting the results but I am going to speak to someone in the MDT team today. I still think that nothing sinister will be found and they will say I have Asthma (that was my first thought when I was having breathing issues and what i have been saying to Gps for years. We will see X
