  • Hi Wee-yin,

I am so sorry to hear about your mum and dad. Losing one parent is hard enough, but losing both in such a short space of time, must be especially hard on you and all of your family. Are you aware that there are carers who can come out to help with your dad's personal needs at home? They can come out up to 4 times a day. There are also overnight services, where someone will come in to sit with your dad overnight and see to his needs. This would  give you as  a family, more quality time to spend with your dad. His care team should be able to arrange this for you.

There are also counselling services run by various cancer charities, which might help you to cope with his death. Cruise is a bereavement service, which you might also find helpful. We are always here for you too. Please keep in touch.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
