Tonsil and lymph node cancer

Hello all. I was diagnosed on May 1st after repeated arguments with my G.P. that the sudden and large lump under my lower jaw wasnt a tooth absyss!! After the necessary scans/biopsy, it is of course cancer which had mastesised from my tonsil.

3 weeks into radio and aĺl those nasty side effects have started.

I am using the mouthwash and spray ( Mucosamin), the usual bicarb gargling and prescription liquid painkiller. My question is, is there anything that can ease the agony in my throat that prevents me from swallowing anything other than soup and scrambled eggs?? The sores inside my mouth are also debilitating and the loss of taste is depressing. Its the swallowing that breaks me. Is there anything anyone has found that help with that pain?

Thanks for any advise you can give me. I know there is no gain without pain with cancer cure, but god, im struggling with my mental strength.
