Wondered if anyone here has had similar symptoms. In April I got a sore throat and noticed white pjs on tonsilies went Gp who prescribed me 5 days antibiotics cleared it up but 5 days later it came back but this time worse went urgent care as I couldn’t open my mouth it was so sore was givin 10 days antibiotics. Everything cleared up then a week later noticed a sore throat checked my mouth and saw my tonsils were inflamed with pus yet again. Went gp this time gave me 5 days different antibiotics she done a throat swap came back negative had blood tests all fine. Anyways antibiotics worked it went. A week later I noticed my tonsils swollen and there was an ulcer on my left tonsil so I freaked out did the google search which diagnosed me with tonsil cancer! So I went back to the Gp who again prescribed me with 5 days antibiotics and a ENT referral which was urgent cancer pathways. 4 days later got my appointment he looked down my throat and said left side is slightly inflamed gave me Co-amoxiclav 10 days and 5 days steroid. Since then my throat swabs have come back from the Gp as strep throat. Anyways antibiotics cleared up ulcer and in checking my tonsils they seem slightly red but I don’t know if they were always like this as I have never had to Inspect my mouth the way I have since all this started. Moving forward he didn’t tell me that he requested an mri scan and I have one in 2weeks time and now I’m freaking out as when I asked him does it look like cancer he said he can’t see anything sinister and just gave me the antibiotics. His also booked me in for bacteria blood tests and another appointment in 6weeks time. Has anyone here had similar symptoms.? Persistent tonsillitis that turned into strep that’s actually tonsil cancer. I’m going out of my mind diagnosing myself with tonsil cancer and it’s really affecting me as I have very bad health anxiety since the birth of my second child. Any advise please?
really want my MRI to come and go and be done with this. It’s soul destroying just waiting around and thinking worst cases.
