Back again

Since I was last here I have been monitored regularly for melanoma with NED.  My MDS is also investigated every 3 months and since August I am very susceptible to any infection going as my neutrophils are very low. I regularly have been to a&e with fevers but no obvious problems found. In frustration I was given an extra CT scan by my haemotologist team. I am under two trusts and only recently have they linked correspondence and expertise. So it was a little disconcerting to be called in to investigate possible prostate cancer by a new team in urology. As it is a 2 week fast track I hope for results quite soon.

Just recovering from my regular fever attack which floors me and leaves me with sore joints, coughs, no appetite and nausia so looking forward to feeling better in a few days.

I do love this time of year and am spending time recuperating, watching sparrows and blue *** fledging. A great sort of medicine.

  • Hi David,

I noticed no-one has replied to you here just yet so I just wanted to reassure you that your post has been seen and offer you a very warm welcome back, although I'm sorry to hear that you are now being investigated for prostate cancer.

This must be very difficult but we are here for you and I'm sure you will receive a lot of support from the community soon.

I will have my fingers crossed for good news when your results come through, but in the meantime I am wishing you a speedy recovery from your recent fever attack and hope the bird watching continues to provide some much needed comfort and entertainment whilst you recuperate.

    Kind regards,
