  • Hey jenny,

I'm new here too.  Im 48, hubby & 2 kids (12 & 14) Diagnosed with tonsil cancer & 1 lymph node in April.  Starting chemordiotherapy on Monday.  Scared to say the least.

Even with wonderful support around me it can  still be a lonely and isolating time hun.  Our minds are our worst enemy sometimes!

    Sending lots of love.

  • Hello Lara thanks for your kind reply. Lovely to meet you! Sorry it's under these circumstances. Hope your doing well.  I'm doing ok at the moment, I think sunshine has a lot to do with it, makes everything seem ok... If you know what I mean.... Take care, love Jenny x

  • Jenny & Kelsa

lovely to meet you both not so good circumstances I no but still we can be friends from here on  and have chats

yes the sunshine has been amazing ot definitely lifts us  .

kels hope you are feeling ok after your chemo lovely xx

  • Hey kelsa sorry if that's not name!?... Lovely to meet you sorry it's under these circumstances!. Thanks for your reply, although I don't have what you been diagnosed with, I sympathise with you all the same. I was petrified before my chemotherapy started. The word petrified me alone!. I went through radiotherapy first the previous year as cancer was confined to one spot in my spine. I had 5 weeks intensive radiotherapy that was no problem at all, just heartburn. I suppose I was lucky where it was didn't cause me too many problems. The chemotherapy wasn't half as bad as I expected I coped well with it all. The treatment is much better and people tolerate it much better.... That's what I was told by everyone, but until you go through it it's daunting. I wish you all the best for your treatment ahead. I have 4 kids oldest 35 and youngest 21. Divorced many years ago. It's just me and my kids and that's always been the way. They are my kids and friends also... I hope that doesn't sound weird lol . Talk soon I hope love Jenny x

  • Very cloudy in Swansea today, but very warm... The sun makes everything better!... Great to talk to you both. I have to say I've met many lovely people since my diagnosis... So in every awful situation good can come out of it. My haemotology ward I visit regularly, everyone is so positive and happy on the whole. I always feel safe as we're all in same boat, there's no moaning or work is me attitude. Take care both, love Jenny.️
