We moved house & I had been busy laying turf etc in the garden, the Dr kept telling me it was sciatica as I kept getting a pain on my right side radiating round to my lower abdomen & down my leg.  The pain in my groin got so bad it was a sharp shooting pain in my groin worse than any period pain, to the point I couldn't walk until it subsided.  One day it was so bad I called my husband home to come to the Dr with me.  We insisted that something be done as it had gone on from September to December. They sent me to A&E & again we had to insist on them doing something, we were there till 9pm & they scanned me. The scan did not show anything once again, but I started emailing the Gynae consultant & eventually in the January I was sent for a 3D scan which showed it hiding between my Left ovary & fallopian tube & had started to attach itself to the wall of my bladder. My bloods CA125 were17 so they saw no cause for alarm until the 3d scan.  Do not rely on the CA125 test as they are not accurate, I knew my body and knew something was not right. They found mine in the January & removed it in the March, then I had chemo.  My advise is be a pain & keep pushing the Doctors I went to several in our practice & would not let up until they took me serious.  It is a sad fact but you have to keep pushing them to do something about it, at the end of the day the sooner you get it out the better.

Good luck for the 20th I hope it all goes well.  Mine was full surgery not key hole.  When I came round I tried to drink as much water as possible to flush out all the drugs & get my system working so not to get constipation,( nothing worse after surgery).  You will be fine, try & stay positive x

I saw the consultant on Saturday - the hospital is running extra clinics on a Saturday to ensure patients are seen in a timely manner. I wished they had told me that I was very worried by having a  weekend appointment. My CT Scan was clear and my CA result remains low, so they are pretty convinced that, although it is a multilobulated cyst,  it will not be malignant. Having said that I am still going to have both ovaries and tubes removed, as they can't be 100% sure until a biopsy is done. I await a date for this procedure. How are you doing?
