Hi
My journey started with a lump in the left side of my neck after a very heavy cold in February which hung around for over a month. They thought it was a cyst but a very thorough nurse sent me for bloods and referred me for a scan
After various checks, cyst drain, CTScan and then MRI , I had an op to remove the tumour from the tonsil last month It has been identified as malignant so now referred to a specialist cancer unit . The whole tonsil, some good tissue and nearby lymph nodes will need to be removed...and that's where I am right now
Am medically curious and spiritually aware as well and both those things support me. I don't feel any fear (yet?) just a bit relieved that I have an idea what I'm dealing with and ended up getting here by seeing a recovery story from tonsil cancer in 2019 and when I saw it through "that's just like my journey"
Grateful I have a partner who has experience of cancer as his mum died of it and his daughter had non-hodgkinson's lymphoma ..,.,and that we went away around Scotland for 2 weeks and did a handfasting before I then had the MRI scan and op
Im curious about finding about foods and herbs that help support the body through all of this so will be investigating that as well
