Welcome to Cancer Chat. I can understand your concerns - I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry too much or assume anything at this point. The best thing will be to make an appointment with your GP, if you haven't already, so they can take a look and advise. As it is the bank holiday, give them a call when you can and hopefully you'll be able to get an appointment and some peace of mind soon.
In the meantime try to focus on other things and keep busy where possible.
Sorry to hear that you're feeling scared. Finding a lump can be scary, but from someone who has been down every google rabbit hole there is, the likelihood is that it's just a swollen lymph node. Definitely get a GP appointment and follow it up, but please try not to worry (easier said than done I know!)
Hi Gemma, I am new to this forum, but sorry to hear your dilemna. I agree with what has been said so far - try not to worry, it can be many things, but you should go to see a doctor. And DON'T google it! As my consultant says there are many sites which give apparently bona fide information but it is general - everyones case is different and at the end of the day it may just be lyour lymph doing what it is supposed to do in fighting some infection.
