Update to cancer chst forum

Hi I had an email about the proposed update to this Cancer chat forum. I'm sure this will be good,but I don't understsnd  why it's asking us to change our password/usernames. I don't want to change this. As I always remember it,as ive used it ever scince I joined this chat forum,  isn't there anyway in which we don't have to change this,as I know for myself it will cause me problems to think of another password/username that I will remember,surly there must be a way to update the chat forum ,without us having to change passwords /usernames.

is anyone else thinking the same.

    I'm sorry to hear that you have some concerns about the upcoming updates to the Cancer Chat forum. 

    I wanted to reassure you that your username and Avatar (profile picture) will remain the same. You won't need to change these. 

    Information will be emailed out nearer the date with advice about how to reset your password. It may be that rather than thinking of an entirely new password you choose to add a number or symbol to the end of your current password to help you remember it. 

    Please don't worry about the upcoming changes. The moderation team will be here to support anyone who has any concerns or questions.
