Ct scan results

So I got referred to haematology 3 and half yrs ago with night sweats which started after my daughter was born, I battled for ages to get them looked into as kept getting fobbed off that they were

Due to breast feeding

Post natal hormones etc

But I stopped  breast feeding to stop it a I was drenching the bed every night needing full bed change daily and still same

Went back to docs - referred to endocrine all bloods and hormones levels normal,

Went to Gp again said its still ruining my life asked if anything else - explained dull ache in groin sometimes

Found swollen lymph nodes in groin and neck, raised platelets so referred urgently to haematology

Had ct showing multiple raised lymph nodes and sightly enlarged spleen

Had a biopsy from groin lymph node- just showed inflammation so said would contine to monitor

Then kind of got left over covid with only face to face appts and also another pregnancy and baby

Finally had a face to face follow up in Jan

Could still feel myraised lymph nodes in neck and groin but said none over 2cm

Requested repeat  ct as been a couple of years

Chased appointment for results as was 3/4 weeks later

Said lymph nodes and spleen hadn't changed size since last scan so happy no lymphoma and discharge back to my gp to monitor

Tried to explain still had night sweats amd swollen lymph nodes I could feel in neck and groin- no longer breast feeding and baby 6 month old

But they wasn't interested as wasn't lymphoma

But did say ct scan reported changes on lungs due to covid which I had but wasn't Overaly poorly with and also  left breast nodule which they recommend urgent referral to breast team for bisopy

The Dr said if I hadn't heard anything within 3 weeks to chase with gp as it had been asked for as urgent referral

It's now been about 5 weeks, my gp is a nightmare to get through too so sent ane consult and they asked me to contact hospital

Now I dont know who to contact and feel like no one is interested in following up

Fyi- I can't actually feel any breast lumps so must be deeper

Any help or guidance would be great

    Hi Kseward,

You do seem to have had the runaround for the past few years. This can't have been easy when you were coping with 2 new babies. It is not unusual for lymph nodes to swell due to even a minor infection and although most settle down again, some will remain permanently swollen.

Most of us receive an urgent referral to the breast clinic. This usually means that you will receive an appointment within 2 weeks, from the date of referral. You are certainly well within your right to ask your GP's receptionist if she can chase this up. Make sure that you tell her that you have now been waiting for 5 weeks, as this is unacceptable. It is difficult to know who to contact at the hospital. Perhaps ask for the breaast clinic and see if they can help you?

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on.We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
